The return of the action and the tension that the French director made in his film made "Double Lover" meet the enthusiastic reaction of the Cannes Film Festival audience.

Young, sensitive Chloé falls in love with his therapist. The woman has no secrets before him, and the man fascinated with her over time is also completely exposed, crossing the boundaries of his profession. A few months later, when they are together, Chloé begins to suspect that her lover has something to hide from her. Discovering his subsequent secrets gradually brings down the deadly danger.

The film is portrayed in the French reality of the screenplay of the crime novel, "Lives of the Twins" by Joyce Carol Oates, written under the pseudonym Rosamond Smith. It raises the favorite subjects of the American writer: the mysteries of human nature, sex and dark side of personality.
